We are very happy to announce that OMS has been updated with a new feature. It includes What3Words from Shopify in OMS for an effortless and user-friendly experience.
This release introduces the capturing and display of What3Words information from Shopify orders in OMS. This information will be synced between OMS and WMS3 and can be edited and updated by the seller. Additionally, the feature will work for other supported sales channels with minimal development efforts required.
With the capturing and display of What3Words information in OMS, sellers will have access to more detailed address information for each order, improving the accuracy and speed of order fulfilment. The syncing of What3Words information between OMS and WMS3 will also be displayed in the address fields on the respective OMS panels, ensuring that the syncing within platforms.
The What3Words field can be edited and updated by the seller, like the address details in OMS, and it will sync to WMS3. The What3Words field will also be captured while creating offline orders in OMS using the UI, bulk import, and order creation APIs. Additionally, the What3Words information will be provided in various APIs and callback events, including the Get Order, Get Orders, Get Order Items, and All Order APIs where address details are displayed. The feature is designed to work with other supported sales channels with minimal development efforts required. The What3Words field details will also be shown in the Order export and order sales report generated in OMS.
To access, edit or view this enhanced field information for shopify follow the following steps:
- Login > Order Module
- Select connected shopify channel
3. View order details
4. Under Customer Details > Address fields
- What3Words attribute is visible
