  • The Feature:

The W3W Integration feature in WMS 3.0 allows customers to add three what3words address keywords while placing online or offline orders. • After entering the shipping and billing address, locate the what3words field.
  • Enter three what3words address keywords in the correct format (e.g., word1.word2.word3).
  • Note that the what3words field is optional, and orders can still be placed without entering any keywords.
  • Submit the order.
  • The what3words address keywords will be stored securely in the database.
  • The keywords will be displayed on the order detail page, below the shipping address fields.
  • The keywords will be sent to the carrier for generating accurate shipping labels.

When creating an offline order, follow these steps:

  • Access the offline order creation form in WMS 3.0.
  • Fill in the necessary order details, including the shipping address.
  • Locate the what3words field in the form.

  • The what3words address keywords will be stored securely in the database.
  • The keywords will be displayed on the order detail page, below the shipping address fields.
  • The keywords will be sent to the carrier for generating accurate shipping labels.

            System Validation and Security

The W3W Integration feature incorporates system validation and security measures:

  • The system will validate that the what3words address keywords entered are in the correct format.
  • - Keywords should consist of three words separated by dots (e.g., word1.word2.word3).
  • - Incorrectly formatted keywords will prompt an error message, and the user will need to correct them.
  • - The what3words field is optional, allowing orders to be placed without entering any keywords.
  • - The what3words address keywords will be securely stored in the database and retrievable for order processing.

Conclusion

By utilizing the W3W Integration feature in WMS 3.0, customers can provide precise location information for shipping. The what3words address keywords can be easily entered and retrieved, ensuring accurate invoicing and improved order processing efficiency.
